Recovery From Trauma

Difficult life experiences tend to hurt the most when we are left alone to cope with them. Our most painful memories can shape how we see ourselves and the world around us. You deserve compassionate support to heal from what has you stuck in states of fight, flight & freeze.

I am deeply honored to work with people with varying life experiences including:

  • Grief & Loss

  • Sexual Abuse & Assault

  • Medical Trauma & Chronic Illness

  • Pregnancy & Birth Trauma

  • Accidents

  • First Responder, Law Enforcement & Healthcare Professions

  • Attachment & Relational Trauma (including Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents & Narcissistic Abuse)

Healing Your Relationship with Food & Your Body

Let’s face it. It’s not really about food or our bodies, but it sure feels like it when we’re struggling with disordered eating. We look in the mirror and see an image that doesn’t represent reality. We fight battles in our minds about what to eat, how much to exercise and how to compensate for what we did or didn’t do yesterday. Living like this is exhausting! You deserve to live a life no longer ruled by food fears & exercise have-to’s.

Wow, do I get this struggle. And I can tell you with full confidence that it doesn’t have to be this way. I help people heal their relationship with food and exercise. And more importantly, I help people build a life with purpose and meaning without expectations or pressure to reach a predefined state of “recovery.”

Whether you have been diagnosed with an eating disorder or not, your struggle with your body matters and you don’t have to figure it out all by yourself.

Life Transitions & Challenges

Endings and beginnings can come with a host of emotions that sneak up on us, especially when things don’t go according to plan. All those feelings are welcome here. You deserve a safe space to process while you welcome in the new and manage what’s hard.

I love supporting people walking out all kinds of life changes and challenges including:

  • Transitioning from High School to College & Beyond

  • Perinatal Challenges

  • Parenting Stress

  • Siblings of those with Special or Unique Needs

  • Career Pivots

  • Relationship Changes

  • Depression & Anxiety

How I Work

Its not about what’s wrong with you. It’s about what happened to you.

Our struggles rarely appear without a cause. With the right support, they don’t have to define our lives.

I know how intimidating it can be when you want to talk to someone but aren’t sure what to expect. While what happens in a therapy session looks a little different from person to person, just know I’ll always show up compassionate and curious, with a deep commitment to earning your trust and creating a safe therapeutic relationship.

I don’t find blank slate therapy helpful so you won’t find that here. You will find validation, choices about your therapy process, opportunities for deep healing, and maybe a laugh or two when the time is right. Therapy in its most healing form is also about real human connection, so that’s what I strive for.
