Hi, I’m Jamie, It’s nice to meet you…

Jamie Humphrey, LCSW is an EMDR therapist in San Jose, CA specializing in the treatment of trauma, eating disorders, depression and anxiety.

I entered the helping field after embarking on my own healing journey during my college years. My lived experience instilled an immense amount of empathy and purpose in me. I absolutely love my job and I am honored by those who entrust me with their stories.

I attended the University of Southern California for my Master’s degree in Social Work with specializations in Mental Health and Systems of Recovery. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and extensive post-graduate training in treating trauma, eating disorders, anxiety and depression. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional II and a Certified EMDRIA EMDR Therapist. I am also trained to provide Internal Family Systems-Informed Therapy, Somatic Therapy, CBT and DBT.

Since entering the field in 2011, I have worked in a wide variety of settings including residential and outpatient treatment programs, a high school and the emergency room. I’ve created a program serving teens and their mental health as they transition from adolescence to adulthood, as well as trained numerous organizations on topics such as implementing trauma-informed care and identifying eating disorders in general mental health care settings.

When I’m not working as a therapist, you’ll find me hanging out with my partner and son, volunteering at my son’s school or curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee. I also love hiking our local mountain trails and every dog I meet.
